Our potholders owe their distinctive look to the vintage bandanas used in them. They nicely fit your palm and have a simple design that allows you to quickly carry the pan or open its lid with minimum fuss.
What distinguishes our potholders from the rest is that they are upcycled products made from towels that would have otherwise been thrown away, reflecting our endorsement of the spirit of the CMDI (*see About Us), a forward-looking circular project. The potholders currently on sale are made from sample products used during product development. Under the guidance of a certain mother, each potholder is carefully made by hand in Japan. Going forward, we will collect Landhaus towels you no longer need, clean them, and give them new life as potholders. (Please note that because our potholders are one of a kind handmade and remade vintage products, you can only choose the base color but not the pattern and the stitch color.)
